Market Tradability Gate [AGPro Series]
$149.00
Market Tradability Gate is a meta-filter that scores how tradable current conditions are, independent of direction. It blends four components — trend clarity, volatility adequacy, efficiency (noise), and participation — into a single 0-100 Tradability score with a Trade / Wait / Stand-down verdict, and it names the weakest link so you know exactly what is holding conditions back.

System, Purpose & Difference What the workflow exists to solve, what it produces and why its design differs from generic signal tools.
Core Idea
Set direction aside for a moment: is the market actually worth trading right now, or is the disciplined move to stand down? What This Workflow Does
Market Tradability Gate is a meta-filter that scores how tradable current conditions are, independent of direction. It blends four components — trend clarity, volatility adequacy, efficiency (noise), and participation — into a single 0-100 Tradability score with a Trade / Wait / Stand-down verdict, and it names the weakest link so you know exactly what is holding conditions back.It is the discipline layer that says "don't trade" when the market is too choppy, too thin, too quiet, or too erratic — the moments that quietly drain accounts. A subtle regime tint and sparse transition markers keep the prevailing state visible at a glance.Purpose & Design Philosophy
Most losing stretches are not from bad entries — they are from good entries taken in untradeable conditions: chop that stops you out repeatedly, dead ranges with no follow-through, thin sessions where moves do not hold. Traders feel this but rarely measure it, so they keep forcing trades when the market is simply not paying. Why It Is Different
Most condition tools measure one thing — a choppiness index, an ADX reading, a volatility band — and leave you to assemble the picture. This script does NOT rely on a single metric and does NOT pretend one number captures tradability.Instead, it combines four independent components into one weighted score, then exposes each sub-score and explicitly names the weakest link. You see not just that conditions are marginal, but why — "Efficiency 22 — choppy / noisy" or "Participation 18 — thin" — which is the difference between a vague feeling and an actionable read.Methodology & Chart Language How context is processed and how zones, labels, colors, panels and visual states should be read.
Methodology
1. Trend Clarity Directional strength (ADX). Strong, persistent direction scores high; aimless drift scores low.2. Volatility Adequacy ATR% judged against its own recent normal. Enough range to cover costs scores high; dead-quiet or wildly erratic both score lower.3. Efficiency / Noise The Kaufman Efficiency Ratio (net move ÷ total path). Clean directional travel scores high; back-and-forth chop scores low.4. Participation Relative volume, with a range-participation fallback on symbols without volume. Healthy engagement scores high; thin tape scores low.5. Composite & Weakest Link A weighted blend yields the 0-100 Tradability score; each sub-score is shown separately, and the lowest is flagged as the weakest link. How to Read the Chart
- Background tint = the prevailing regime: faint teal when the gate is open (Tradable), faint red when it is shut (Stand-down).
- TRADABLE / STAND DOWN markers = the moments the regime flipped (kept sparse and spaced).
- GATE badge = the live state and score at the last bar.
- Panel = the full read: Tradability, the four factor cells, verdict, weakest link, and next action.
Signals, States & Alerts What each visible state represents and when an alert marks a condition that deserves attention.
Signals & States
- Tradable → conditions support a plan.
- Marginal → mixed; wait for the gate to clear.
- Stand-down → chop / thin / erratic; protect capital.
Best Conditions & When to Step Back Where the workflow is most useful, which conditions weaken interpretation and how context changes the reading.
When to Use
- Before every session or setup, as a go / no-go conditions check.
- To stay out of chop and thin tape that erode an otherwise sound strategy.
- As a top filter above your directional or pattern tools — only act when the gate is open.
When Not to Use
- As an entry or direction signal — it is neither.
- On very low-liquidity symbols where the factor inputs are unstable.
- As a reason to override a working plan: a green gate is permission to trade your edge, not a setup by itself.
Controls, Interface & Practical Workflow The main inputs, visual controls and a repeatable sequence for using the workflow without losing chart clarity.
Key Inputs
- Factor lengths → ADX, ATR, efficiency, and participation windows.
- Weights → how much each factor contributes to the composite.
- Thresholds → where Tradable and Stand-down begin.
- Visuals → regime tint, transition markers, marker spacing, gate badge, theme, position, font size.
Boundaries, Limitations & Risk What the workflow does not do, where its outputs can weaken and the risk boundaries every buyer should understand.
What This Workflow Is Not
- Not a prediction engine and not a directional signal.
- Not financial advice.
- Not an automated trading system.
- Not a guarantee that a "Tradable" reading will produce a winning trade.
Limitations & Transparency
The composite depends on its weights and thresholds, which are adjustable — different settings will shift the score, so calibrate them to your market and style. Factor readings reflect recent behavior and will lag sudden regime changes. On symbols without volume, participation uses a range-based proxy, which is an approximation. Read the gate as a conditions estimate to inform judgement, not a precise verdict.Risk Disclosure
