Support Resistance Continuation Matrix is a support/resistance continuation workflow designed to organize what happens after a key level is tested. Instead of only marking support or resistance reactions, the script maps whether the active level is still helping continuation, showing pressure, reclaiming, or failing.

System, Purpose & Difference What the workflow exists to solve, what it produces and why its design differs from generic signal tools.

Core Idea

When support or resistance is tested, is the level supporting continuation, reclaiming, or failing?

What This Workflow Does

Support Resistance Continuation Matrix is a support/resistance continuation workflow designed to organize what happens after a key level is tested. Instead of only marking support or resistance reactions, the script maps whether the active level is still helping continuation, showing pressure, reclaiming, or failing. The script produces one active support/resistance rail, one continuation pocket, a dashed failure rail, compact state badges, continuation score, rejection pressure, failure risk, invalidation context, and an AGPro decision panel. This script does not predict future direction, automate decisions, or provide guaranteed signals. It is an analytical and educational visualization tool for reviewing support/resistance continuation context with structure and risk awareness.

Purpose & Design Philosophy

Support and resistance are among the most widely used chart concepts, but many tools stop at drawing levels or marking reactions. A level reaction is not the same as continuation. This script was built to answer the next question:After price tests the level, is the market respecting it enough to support continuation, or is the level beginning to fail? The design philosophy is workflow-based:

Why It Is Different

Most support/resistance tools focus on level discovery or first reaction. This script does NOT try to be another level map or reaction detector.Instead, it focuses on continuation behavior after a level is tested. It separates:
  • the active support/resistance rail
  • the continuation pocket around the rail
  • follow-through beyond the pocket
  • rejection pressure back through the level
  • failure-risk pressure
  • reclaim-review context
  • continuation score
  • next-action state
Methodology & Chart Language How context is processed and how zones, labels, colors, panels and visual states should be read.

Methodology

  1. Active Level Detection
The script identifies confirmed support and resistance rails from local pivot structure. It keeps the workflow focused on one active level by default so the chart does not become a crowded level map.
  1. Continuation Pocket Mapping
Around the active rail, the script builds a continuation pocket. This pocket defines the review area where price interaction, follow-through, pressure, and failure risk are evaluated.
  1. Continuation Scoring
Continuation score combines follow-through distance, local trend quality, pocket interaction, candle body context, freshness, rejection pressure, and failure risk.
  1. Rejection Pressure
The script measures pressure against the continuation idea. For support continuation, pressure below the rail matters. For resistance continuation, pressure above the rail matters.
  1. Failure Risk

How to Read the Chart

Support/Resistance RailThe rail represents the active support or resistance level being evaluated for continuation behavior.Continuation PocketThe colored pocket around the rail is the active review area. It shows where the level is being tested and whether continuation remains structured.Failure RailThe dashed rail marks the area where the active level begins to lose practical structure. Pressure beyond this rail increases failure-risk context.Pocket BadgeThe centered badge summarizes the active role and state, such as support review, resistance review, continuation ready, reclaim review, or failure.PanelThe panel summarizes the workflow:
Signals, States & Alerts What each visible state represents and when an alert marks a condition that deserves attention.

Signals & States

  • LEVEL WATCH → The active rail is being monitored
  • CONTINUATION REVIEW → Price is interacting with the continuation pocket and context is improving
  • CONTINUATION READY → Continuation score is high while failure risk remains controlled
  • FAILURE PRESSURE → Pressure against the level is elevated
  • RECLAIM REVIEW → Price has crossed the level and returned into a reviewable reclaim context
  • LEVEL FAILURE → The level has moved into a broken or invalidated state
Best Conditions & When to Step Back Where the workflow is most useful, which conditions weaken interpretation and how context changes the reading.

When to Use

This script is most useful when support/resistance continuation matters:
  • level retests after a directional move
  • support holding during pullbacks
  • resistance holding during downside continuation
  • reclaim/failure review around a known level
  • trend continuation after level interaction
  • multi-timeframe level workflow review
It can be used across symbols and timeframes, but interpretation should always respect liquidity, volatility, and broader market structure.

When Not to Use

Avoid relying on this script in weak conditions such as:
  • very low-liquidity markets
  • extreme news-driven volatility
  • highly fragmented sideways chop
  • charts where every pivot becomes a noisy level
  • very low timeframes with unstable structure
  • situations where the broader trend context is unclear
Support/resistance continuation should not be interpreted in isolation.
Controls, Interface & Practical Workflow The main inputs, visual controls and a repeatable sequence for using the workflow without losing chart clarity.

Key Inputs

Planner ModeControls whether the script evaluates support continuation, resistance continuation, or both automatically.Pivot ConfirmationControls how local swing rails are confirmed.Structure LookbackControls the baseline used for volatility, range, body, and trend measurements.Continuation Pocket WidthControls the size of the review pocket around the active level.Continuation StrictnessControls how much follow-through is required before continuation score improves.Failure Risk StrictnessControls how quickly pressure beyond the failure rail increases risk review.Minimum Label ScoreControls historical label filtering.Visual PresetControls chart annotation density.Panel and Label Font Size
Boundaries, Limitations & Risk What the workflow does not do, where its outputs can weaken and the risk boundaries every buyer should understand.

What This Workflow Is Not

This script is not a prediction engine. It is not a signal service. It is not an automated trading system. It does not provide financial advice. It does not guarantee outcomes. It does not replace market context, risk management, or independent analysis.

Limitations & Transparency

Support and resistance levels are rule-based approximations of market structure. They are not perfect market truths.Pivot-based level detection requires confirmation and may appear after the initial turning point.Continuation score, rejection pressure, failure risk, and invalidation context are analytical scores. They organize information but do not predict certainty.Different timeframes and symbols may produce different support/resistance behavior. Users should interpret the output within broader market context.
