A Weekend Crypto Watchlist Review
Run a weekend crypto watchlist review with stable baskets, quality states and a clear follow-up queue rather than chasing the highest score.
A weekend crypto watchlist review is an opportunity to organize the coming research cycle. It does not need to produce an immediate trade. The useful output is a small set of charts with clear reasons for attention, plus a separate list of candidates that need better data or stronger participation.
Keep the process consistent with your weekday routine. Changing thresholds because fewer candidates qualify makes the observations harder to compare later.
Prepare the review before opening charts
Choose the basket, source timeframe and observation time. Save the current settings or record their version. Check whether any symbols changed, disappeared or gained too little history for the selected configuration.
If you review several Planner groups, retain a timestamp for each. The script evaluates one active group at a time; a full research pass is a sequence of observations, not a single simultaneous scan of all configured symbols.
Sort into three useful queues
On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally to review every column.
| Queue | Entry condition | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Chart review | Candidate quality is acceptable for the research rules | Inspect structure and opposing levels |
| Waiting | A specific temporary requirement is missing | Record the requirement and review later |
| Data investigation | Feed, history or units are unsuitable | Resolve the input before interpretation |
These queues are research categories, not trade instructions. A high score can belong in the waiting queue if the setup is stale or participation is inadequate. An attractive-looking row with unreliable inputs belongs in data investigation.
Read the weekend observation on its own terms
Do not assume activity or execution conditions match another day. Inspect the selected feed’s current participation and verify spread or available quantity independently where relevant. Relative volume alone is not a complete liquidity measurement.
The Planner’s quality states help expose limitations without forcing you to open every chart. Read the row’s first reason and its tooltip, then decide what needs investigation. A dash in Flags does not automatically mean the candidate is qualified.
Review a hypothetical shortlist
Suppose your pass produces one QUALIFIED recovery candidate, two strong but stale continuation readings and several LOW TURNOVER rows. Open the qualified candidate first, checking whether nearby opposing structure changes its usefulness. Put the stale names on a timed follow-up list and retain the turnover limitation for the others.
If the chart review rejects the first candidate, the session can end with no tradeable conclusion. That is a useful process result. The review prevented a ranking from being mistaken for a complete plan.
Prepare the next session’s hand-off
For each shortlisted chart, write the exact observation that would justify another review. Avoid vague notes such as “looks bullish.” Prefer a specific analytical question: has the source bar confirmed, has the quality limitation changed, or is the candidate still close to the opposing level?
Limit the queue to the number of charts you can actually revisit. A hundred saved tickers with no follow-up rule do not improve research discipline.
Close the review with a short journal entry
Record basket coverage, candidates reviewed, reasons for rejection and unresolved data issues. Keep the settings unchanged for the next comparable pass. Over several weeks, this record helps assess whether the process saves attention and maintains consistent quality.
Frequently asked questions
Should I lower the score threshold on weekends?
Only as a separately documented experiment. A quieter shortlist is not evidence that the original requirement should be weakened.
What if no candidate passes chart review?
Record the result and the next review time. Screening is allowed to conclude that no current observation deserves further action.
